Event Details

Exploring Watercolors is a fun, hands-on course where students will learn the art of watercolor painting through a simple, step-by-step approach. Focused on creating beautiful landscapes, this class is designed for beginners, so no prior experience is necessary. Just come ready to relax, have fun, and paint together!

The goal is for students to complete a finished landscape painting while building the skills to confidently create their own works in the future.

Please note that this course is for older adults ages 60 and above. You must have filled out the Interest Form in order to attend this series.

In this session, students will observe a demonstration on how to create flat washes and graded washes, followed by hands-on practice. They will also learn the technique of "lifting" to add clouds to their work.

All materials will be provided for the series.

This program is made possible thanks in part to support from the Indiana Arts Commission and the Family and Social Services Administration.
