Exploring Watercolors is a fun, hands-on course where students will learn the art of watercolor painting through a simple, step-by-step approach. Focused on creating beautiful landscapes, this class is designed for beginners, so no prior experience is necessary. Just come ready to relax, have fun, and paint together!

The goal is for students to complete a finished landscape painting while building the skills to confidently create their own works in the future.

Please note that this course is for older adults ages 60 and above. If you are interested in attending this series, please first fill out this Interest Form. You will be notified of your status in the event series once you have completed the form.

In the first session, participants will learn the basics of watercolor painting: understanding the medium, how it’s made, and how to mix colors. They will also practice loading brushes with the perfect amount of paint, discover the versatility of different brush shapes, and have the chance to work with a variety of brush sizes.

All materials will be provided for the series.

This program is made possible thanks in part to support from the Indiana Arts Commission and the Family and Social Services Administration.
