Filing Taxes at the Library
The library receives a set number of paper tax forms each tax season. You may pick these up from the library when they are available.
You may also use our public computers and printing services to assist in filing your tax returns.
Community Tax Assistance
Northwest Indiana Community Action (NWICA)
NWICA helps people experiencing financial hardship find opportunities and resources. They envision the people of Northwest Indiana flourishing regardless of income, ability, or age.
VITA
The VITA program offers free tax help to individuals, families, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. Assistance available January through April.
