RP-Play, Grow, Read!
Library Branch
The Play, Grow, Read Room at Rolling Prairie Branch is a space where children can build early literacy skills with family. This is a space for your child to further develop their literacy skills using five basic practices from the Every Child Ready To Read™ initiative: Reading, Writing, Singing, Talking, and Playing. This room contains a cabinet of educational toys, a large ball maze located on the wall, and Beautiful Bugs and Magical Math kits.
Additionally, there is an AWE learning station, which provides programs for children to develop early literacy skills in English, math, science, and the arts.
The room is home to a flight lab, also known as a wind tunnel. It is designed to help focus children's interest in air and wind. Kids can explore concepts such as flight, air current, air resistance, and gravity through play. Each side of the device has a storage bowl where you can place objects such as tissue paper and coffee filters.
This room is open for you to use at any time, or you may reserve it.
