Equipment Training
Like what you see? Staff can help you! Contact the LPCPL Exchange by email or phone to set up your one-on-one training.
Start It! Equipment Training is intended for individuals who would like to begin using equipment at the Library's Makerspace. Complete the Makerspace Safety Training to learn more about safety and age requirements at the Exchange. All individuals should complete this tutorial before their first in-person training.
A different Equipment Training session is required for each piece of equipment. Choose one piece of equipment from list for your training.
To ensure that all customers are accommodated, we kindly ask that each customer limits their number of trainings to one per week.
Note: It is possible that training may take more than 1 hour.
For training on the Precision Mini Lathe, the Resin 3D Printer, or the Bandsaw, call or email the LPCPL Exchange.
When learning a new skill, it is best to build upon our knowledge step-by-step. To best support a strong foundation of knowledge on the Makerspace equipment, we require the following:
- General sewing machine training before Heavy Duty sewing machine
- Sindoh and/or UltiMaker 3D Printer training before Resin 3D Printer
- X-Carve CNC Machine training before Roland CNC Mill
- Wood lathe training before Precision Mini Lathe
