Nature Play Days: Nature Painting

Play, explore, and learn in nature with our Nature Play Day series! This fall, visit all our branches for outdoor, nature-themed activities, crafts, and stories! This event is in conjunction with Indiana Children and Nature Network Play Days.  

There are several physical, emotional, and intellectual benefits of spending time outdoors. It is our goal to encourage children to build a lifelong connection with nature, provide opportunities to connect children and their families to the environment, and promote time outdoors through imaginative play.  

We appreciate nature in all its forms, so this event will take place outdoors rain or shine! Please dress accordingly for all weather conditions. 

Join us as we paint nature landscapes with our own DIY nature-made paintbrushes! We will be collecting items such as flower petals, blades of grass, leaves, and more to create our brushes.  

We will also be reading Sky Color by Peter Reynolds.
