Spend your evening with the Friends of the La Porte County Public Library. Enjoy light refreshments while you mingle and learn more about this organization. Celebrate long-time Friend of the Library, Bob Burns, as we dedicate an area of the Reading Wi-Fi Garden to his memory.
Starting at 6:30pm, County Historian Bruce Johnson will share the fascinating history of Hoosiers in the Movies. Hear about people from Indiana, including La Porte County, who have been active in the movie industry both past and present.
The Friends of the Library are community members who use their time and talents to advocate for the library. Their support and fundraising make initiatives like Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and the summer reading program possible.
