Are you visiting the Sunflower Fair on September 18th? This year, round out your visit with a stop at the LPCPL Exchange!

Located at 807 Indiana Avenue, the Library’s newest building is full of exciting spaces and tools for you to explore. The building will be open for tours and equipment demonstrations from 11:00am through 5:00PM. During your visit you can learn about meeting spaces, recording studios, makerspace equipment, and how to get started with it all!

LPCPL Exchange staff will be doing demonstrations at the following times:

11:30AM: Laser Cutter

At 11:30AM, join the LPCPL Exchange staff for a short Laser Cutter demonstration! The building is home to two separate laser cutters, each capable of completing a variety of projects.

12:30PM: 3D Print

Curious about 3D printers? Come see a demonstration on one of the three 3D printers available at the Exchange! Staff will show you how a project gets started and print an object to show you the ropes.

1:30PM: Sewing and Jewelry

The LPCPL Exchange has multiple sewing machines, a serger, an industrial sewing machine, plus jewelry and leatherworking tools! Stop by to ask some questions and see what tools are available. There will not be a live sewing or jewelry demonstration, but staff will be available to answer your questions!

2:30: Lathe

Wood turning lathes are a fascinating way to make beautiful wooden objects. Watch LPCPL Exchange staff create a custom pen from a block of wood!

3:30: Cricut and Heat Press

See how you can use the cricut to create custom designs on a variety of materials, and see what’s possible when you use the heat transfer vinyl to transfer your design!
