People seek mental health therapy for many reasons, including to maintain a healthy mindset, to talk through occasional problems, for help managing a behavioral or mental health condition, or for help coping with trauma. We tend to think of therapy and therapists as this one kind of health experience, but there are actually several different types of mental health providers and it can be difficult to know what kind of mental health practitioner you need.
