20 Nov Teen Art Show 2015
This year’s Teen Art Show boasted over 100 original pieces of art from local middle and high school students. Artists submitted a variety of mediums including 3D, ceramics, paintings, drawings, yarn art, and even a jacket created entirely out of Capri Sun packets.
Our seven winners for 2015 include:
For Middle School:
1st Place People’s Choice–Sierra Blany (Boston)
2nd Place People’s Choice — Brittany Gomez (Boston)
1st Place Best of Show — Jillian Bell (Boston)
2nd Place Best of Show — Julia Jones (New Prairie Middle School)
For High School:
1st Place People’s Choice– Emily Cox (South Central)
2nd Place People’s Choice — Abby Singleton (LPHS)
1st Place Best of Show — Emma Marsh (LPHS)
2nd Place Best of Show — Emily Cox (South Central)
First place winners received a $40 gift card to Hobby Lobby while second place winners received a $20 gift card to Hobby Lobby. The gift cards were graciously donated to event by the Friends of the Library.
The People’s Choice Award was determined by 352 votes from community members visiting the library November 2-6. The Best of Show Award was decided by two local artists: Clinton Worthington and Michelle Lilly.
