Children are invited to register for a virtual Zoom session to read to an animal buddy. Once you register, we will contact you with a session time. Don’t forget to record your minutes!
Research has shown that reading to animals helps promote good feelings towards reading and books. Enjoy this unique experience and share a fun story with an animal buddy! It may not seem like you can do much right now, but you can do good. You can support those in need by reading for a cause. We’re asking you to join with the La Porte County Public Library and help reach a community reading goal. When you record the minutes you spend reading you help reach the goal, and the Friends of the La Porte County Public Library will donate $1000 to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, and that’s a good thing that you can do! Go to Read for a Cause for more information.
