Pajama Storytime at Coolspring

Posted on October 12, 2020

Enjoy a family storytime at the Coolspring library on the second Tuesday of every month from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Pajamas are not required, but they are welcome. In order to provide this program safely, we require registration.

Our storytimes are structured around the Every Child Ready to Read Curriculum that incorporates the essential literacy skills of read, write, sing, talk, and play. Classes include books, technology, movement activities, and hands-on practice that engage both children and adults. These skills help children get ready for Kindergarten and provide adults with helpful tips to help children develop pre-reading skills and a love of reading.

We are excited to be able to provide this program in-person. To do so, we will have to adapt in order to maintain social distancing. All attendees older than 2 years of age must wear a face mask. Participants will be assigned a location to sit. Registration is required so that we can maintain these standards. If you do not feel comfortable attending in person or have an underlying health condition, please check our online calendar of events for online storytimes. For current safety guidelines, check this link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html.

Megan, Community Engagement Librarian, Unicorn Fanatic, The Most Sparkly Librarian – any of these titles will do. When not bringing the Van Halen to early literacy classes or spreading the joy of reading to youngsters throughout the community, one can find her enjoying copious amounts of carbohydrates, binge-watching random television shows and movies, pretending to be a professional photographer, dancing around and singing when no one is watching (okay, maybe when people are watching, too), and thoroughly enjoying life with a never-ending smile!
