New Prairie United School Corporation

Students in grades K-12 are issued Libraries 360 cards. These cards may be used at all La Porte County Public Library locations. 2017 marks the first school year that La Porte County Public Library and New Prairie United School Corporation have partnered to expand student access to LPCPL online resources and books. The newly constructed Rolling Prairie location is an excellent resource for students with study rooms and 24/7 wireless internet access. What can an elementary or middle school student do with their card?

Elementary and Middle School Students

  • Borrow books, magazines, video games, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs from LPCPL’s youth collections.
  • Request library materials and pick them up at any LPCPL location.
  • Borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks from Overdrive and Tumblebooks.
  • Students may not borrow Hot Pick items or InterLibrary Loan items using Libraries 360 cards.
  • Students have 24/7 accessibility to online research tools.
  • Libraries 360 accounts are overdue fine exempt, meaning students won’t be charged if items are returned late. Students are responsible for returning items in good condition.
What can a high school student do with their card?

High School Students

  • Borrow any books, magazines, video games, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs from LPCPL.
  • Request library materials and pick them up at any LPCPL location.

How do students log in to their accounts?
  1. Go to libraries360.org and click on the Elementary Catalog or Jr. and Sr. High Catalog.
  2. Click the Login link in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Username: The number on the back of the student’s L360 card
  4. Password: userpass
  5. Students may enter a new password of his/ her choice in the change password pop up box. Confirm new password and click done.
  6. Students should write down their barcode and password in his/her planner or save them in a google doc in case their card is misplaced. Your student will need this information to log back into his/ her account, check out eBooks, and access other eResources.
  7. The Libraries 360 card will be your student’s card from school year to school year. Students must take care of it and know where it is.
What if my student lost their card?

You can get a get a no charge replacement library card at any of our seven library locations.
