At the La Porte County Commissioner’s meeting on July 15th, an ordinance was voted on, in a 2-1 vote, requiring face masks in all public and private areas, both indoor and outdoor where 6-feet of social distancing cannot be maintained.
The county-wide order, which takes effect on Friday, July 17, LaPorte will be the fifth county in Indiana to issue such a mandate.
The order will last indefinitely until local health officials feel COVID-19 spread is under control. For more information from the County Commissioners please go to https://laporteco.in.gov/covid-19/
