It is 4:00 pm and I need to get dinner ready! Learn the basics of the Instant Pot with Karen Richey, Purdue Extension Educator, to help you create a healthy meal. This is an online-only class.

Electric Programmable Pressure Cookers are among the newest lines of kitchen appliances. But, what are they, how do they work, what foods can you cook in one, and are they really safe? We will answer these questions and more as we explore the ins and outs of “instacooking.” Join us for this online-only event with Karen Richey, Purdue Extension Educator – Health and Human Sciences, to answer your questions.

Pre-registration is required and registration will close one week prior to the event. Registered attendees will have an LPCPL Health Literacy kit checked out to them including an Instant Pot, From Freezer to Cooker Cookbook, a flexible cutting board for use for the class. All kits are sanitized prior to check-out and on the return of the kit.

This class is made possible with the support of the Healthcare Foundation of La Porte. With this, we have received 10 Health Literacy kits that can be checked out by the first 10 registrants. Others are still invited to attend.

Join us for the online class on October 19th at 6:30 pm.
