In the United States of America, around 10% of the population, who are older than 25, have not received their high school diploma, according to Census.gov. The La Porte County Public Library offers resources to help lower this percentage.

Indiana Workforce Diploma Program is an online program that offers Indiana residents, who are 22 years or older, a chance to receive their high school diploma for free. Graduation Alliance has partnered with the Indiana Workforce Diploma Program, and together, they offer this program through a state-funded initiative from the Indiana Governor’s Workforce Cabinet. The diploma received will be accredited and accepted by employers, colleges, and even the military.

Indiana Workforce Diploma Program has a website, https://www.indianadiploma.com, which has a quick section to fill out to get into contact with an enrollment counselor. This enrollment counselor can help our community boost the number of high school graduates in Indiana and help many receive their diploma. All classes are completely online. If you or anyone you know cannot access the internet from where they are, the La Porte County Public Library has computers available during open hours at any of our locations and free Wi-Fi that can be accessed at any time.
