Do you wish you got a Cricut® for Christmas? Either way, the LPCPL Maker Lab has you covered!

We have a Cricut® Maker, Cricut® Explore Air, and for the kids – a Cricut® Expression. Learn how to use these machines and how to access our Maker Lab through quick and easy online tutorials:

Official Maker (required for all independent Maker Lab use) – https://my.nicheacademy.com/laportelibrary/course/2840
Cricut® – https://my.nicheacademy.com/laportelibrary/course/3075

You can access all tutorials at laportelibrary.org by clicking on the Learn Tab:

After you complete the tutorials (should take less than an hour), we’d be happy to set up a tech help session. Simply follow the instructions at the end of the tutorial to Book a Librarian. After your help session, you’ll be an Official Maker and you can use the lab whenever the library is open to create, Cricut®, and craft your heart out.

A few other details – use of the space and equipment is free, but you’ll need to bring your own materials to cut. Makers 13+ can use the Maker Lab independently if they complete the tutorials and their legal guardian comes in with them to sign a waiver. Makers 12 and under can use the lab if they are with an Official Maker who is 18+.

Have questions about the Cricut® or other Maker Lab equipment? Give us a call! (219) 362-6156 option 2
