21 Oct Calling all Mad Scientists and Experimenters!
If you love robotic pumpkins and oozy slime, this is the event for you!
Mad Scientist’s Lab
October 28, 4:00-5:00pm
This event will have multiple lab stations where all mad scientists, young and old, can participate. We will make oozy, gooey slime that will make your skin crawl. If that isn’t enough to scare you, our lab team will show you how to solder and assemble a robotic pumpkin that could be a companion for Frankenstein’s monster.
Mad Scientist’s Lab will awaken the creator in everyone, so be prepared! Here are some titles to get your young scientists interested, and to inspire scientists who have been experimenting for years:
- Citizen Scientist: be a part of Scientific Discovery in your own Backyard teaches kids how to examine the world around them, focusing on butterflies, ladybugs, birds, and frogs.
- 15 Dangerously Mad Projects for the Evil Genius will teach you step-by-evil-step how to create several projects that can be used for nefarious purposes (although we hope you use them for good, instead).
- Exploring Kitchen Science: 30+ Edible Experiments and Kitchen Activities can ignite a person’s interest in how ingredients combine to make the food that we eat. This title explores how chemistry, baking, and nutrition play roles in the kitchen.
- Just Add Water: Science Experiments you can Sink, Squirt, Splash, Sail includes experiments that explore the wonder of water and the science behind why it behaves the way it does.
