Do you want to keep a pulse on the latest titles? Are you looking for a few good books to read yourself or recommend to your child?

Come to the Kingsford Heights Branch of the La Porte County Public Library for a kids’ Book Tasting on February 8 at 3:30pm. Grab a “bite to read” from the titles selected by library instructors, chat with friends, and compare your tastings to find your next favorite book. Just like a restaurant tasting, we’ll sample several different kinds of stories, hoping you might be tempted to try something new.

  • Sign up for eNewsletters and get great book suggestions by email.
  • Wowbrary connects you to the newest books, magazines, movies, and music at La Porte County Public Library.

  • Use the online catalog to search for specific authors, actors, series, titles and reading levels. It’s the best resource to find all the materials the library has to offer.
  • NoveList is the best friend a reader has. With title, author, and series read-a-likes, you’ll never run out of something to read. To learn more about NoveList, view the tutorial in LPCPL’s online academy. 
  • NoveList K-8 has info about fiction books for all K-8 grade levels and includes picture books, children’s chapter books, and young adult titles. It is updated weekly.
