Archiving Your COVID-19 Stories in La Porte County

Posted on July 6, 2020

by Daphne Bechrakis

We are inviting the La Porte County community to share your stories from the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. Sharing stories about the COVID-19 pandemic not only helps us connect as a community during this difficult time of social distancing, but it lets us leave an important historical record of what day-to-day life is like for the future generations who will learn about this time period from history books. Stories and responses will be collected through this Google form. Submissions will be accepted throughout the entire year of 2020.

Submission Form

Submissions will be put in the library’s digital local history archive for permanent display and may be used for the library website and social media. Submissions will be displayed with your first name and date of submission as the title if you do not want your full name displayed. All ages can submit stories, but children under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian before submitting it. If you have any technical difficulties submitting your story or you want to submit additional content, please email help@laportelibrary.org and put ATTN: Daphne Bechrakis in the subject line.
