The Indiana Primary, originally scheduled for May 5, will be held on June 2, 2020. All voters have the option to vote by mail but must request an absentee-by-mail ballot to do so. To request your absentee-by-mail ballot, complete the ABS-Mail Primary 2020 form and return it to La Porte County election officials or the county where you are registered to vote. Applications can be mailed, emailed, faxed, or hand-delivered. The deadline to return the form is May 21, 2020, by 11:59 pm local time.

Normally, in-person absentee voting begins 28 days before election day. For June 2, 2020, primary election, in-person absentee voting has been condensed to the following dates and times:

Starting May 26, 2020, Tuesday thru Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm
Saturday, May 30, 2020: 8:00am-3:00pm
Monday, June 1, 2020: 8:00am-12:00pm
