*******WE WILL HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF GLASSES FOR THE ATTENDEES OF OUR VIEWING PARTIES BEGINNING AT 12:00PM TODAY, AUGUST 21. ONE PAIR PER PERSON IN ATTENDANCE.*********

The August 21st Great American Solar Eclipse is a week away! The eclipse begins in our area at 11:55 am. The maximum eclipse will occur at 1:21 pm and end at 2:44 pm. The Library has a very limited supply of glasses to disperse.
We will not be able to accommodate requests for large group numbers.

The Library is hosting 3 solar eclipse viewing events the day of August 21 beginning at 12:00pm at Main, Coolspring, and Kingsford Heights. laportelibrary.org

Michigan City Public Library and New Carlisle-Olive Township also have a limited number of glasses for the public. Glasses can also be purchased at Walmart.
