Our Moon can be very dramatic at times with full moons, supermoons, lunar eclipses, and even Super Blue Blood Moons! There’s a lot to know. On March 19 come to It’s Just a Phase at our Rolling Prairie Branch and learn weird and wonderful facts about Earth’s Moon. This adventure includes constructing a rocket ship.

If you can’t make it to this event, you can learn about the Moon with other resources made available by the library.

After watching the original footage and listening to Walter Cronkite announce the success of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, you can visit the Indiana Room and read copies of local newspaper coverage to read about the moon landing in local newspapers.

If you have questions about this event or about the library in general, feel free to visit any of our seven locations or call (219) 362-6156 to speak with a librarian.
