20 Feb Sphero Swim Meet
Sphero is one of the robots we use to teach young innovators about robots, engineering, and coding.
Come to the Coolspring Branch on February 24 at 1:00pm for the Sphero Swim Meet. This event challenges kids and families to think like engineers to design and build a swimsuit that helps Sphero to move quickly through the water by engineering a swimsuit.
You can use the Sphero robots even if you can’t make it to this event. When Sphero isn’t traveling, Sphero is one of several robots available in Spark Labs, the Library’s Makerspace located at the Main Library. You must be 13 or older with a library account or valid picture ID to use the equipment in Spark Labs. Children under the age of 13 can use the equipment if they are accompanied by an adult. For a full list of Spark Labs Cool Tech visit the Spark Labs page on the library’s website.
If you have any questions about this event, please feel free to ask any of our librarians by calling (219) 362-6156 or by stopping into any of our seven locations.
