Review: Yes, Please

19 Dec Review: Yes, Please

With holiday traveling in full swing, I thought I’d share what I am currently listening to for those wanting suggestions to break up travel boredom: Amy Poehler’s Yes, Please. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I am enjoying it which is probably due to my vague impression that her type of comedy is socially awkward situational–not my favorite kind of humor.  That being said, Amy narrates the book wonderfully.  She is witty.  She has guest appearances. She shares how she ended up doing comedy.  She talks about how she views herself. I recommend it, especially the audio version since many times the funny bits are how Amy says things.

Other titles along this same vein you might enjoy include the following: Bossypants by Tina Fey, I Feel Bad About My Neck by Nora Ephron, I Don’t Know What You Know Me From: Confessions of a Co-Star by Judy Greer.
