02 Jul Genealogy Help Day on July 21
Researching your family history is a process of discovery that can give you some amazing facts about your relatives. But sometimes you reach a brick wall, you just don’t know where else to look for something.
If this is your case, help is available! Several members of the La Porte County Genealogical Society will be in the Indiana Room at La Porte County Public Library in La Porte to help you from 1:00-4:00pm on Saturday, July 21.
You may also get help during this time with anything having to do with genealogy research, from how to start your research to learning about additional sources that might be helpful to you.
There is no fee and reservations are not taken. However, if you have a specific perplexing genealogy problem, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Saturday, July 14 so that you may be able to get quicker help when you come.
If you can’t make it during this time, remember that a genealogy volunteer is in the Indiana Room from 1:00-3:00pm on Fridays. Also, library staff are always available to help at all of our locations.
